Better Sweater is the screenwriting duo Emilie Wapnick and Rena Hundert.

We’re Montreal-born writers, longtime friends, and creative conspirators. We became roommates in university and quickly discovered our lives had been circling each other for years: same neighborhood, parents working at the same organization, even overlapping family roots near Minsk and Pinsk in Eastern Europe. Since then, we’ve written scripts, made music under our band name Tip of the Hat, and built a storytelling partnership rooted in shared history, emotional resonance, and offbeat humor. Emilie brings the feels, Rena brings the comedy, and together we tell stories with wit, warmth, and a touch of endearing awkwardness.
